Planning Commission

Eleven members make up the Fargo Planning Commission.  The commission: 

  • Recommends amendments to the text of the Land Development Code.
  • Examines and decides on any suggested changes to the city zoning map.
  • Serves as the final review authority for minor subdivision plat applications and conditional use permits.
  • Reviews major subdivisions, planned unit developments and area plan applications, making final recommendations to the City Commission.
  • Reviews Institutional Master Plans. 
Meeting Information

The Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month in the City Commission chambers at City Hall, 200 3rd St. N. Meetings start at 8 a.m., with most hearing items usually beginning at 9 a.m.  Notice of the hearings is published in the Fargo Forum once each week for two successive weeks before each meeting.

Meetings are broadcast live on TV Fargo 12 and rebroadcast every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m.

Meeting agendas are available on this site approximately one week prior to the meeting. Meeting minutes are also posted when they become available.
